Public Tasting Events
Erika's Delicatessen sponsors tasting events all throughout the year. All of our events are published in our newsletter or special mailings. Be on the lookout for the next Erika's event! If you would like to receive our newsletter or be on our email list, sign up for our newsletter.

Beer Tastings**
Twice a year, Erika's features beer from around the world. Last spring, we had our first ever "Around the World in 80 Beers" tasting event, the culmination of 10 weeks of international brews. In the tradition of the original Oktoberfest from Munich, we celebrate our own Oktoberfest every Fall where we feature over 60 imported beers, and sample delicious German food and cheeses.

Wine Tastings**
Several times a year, Erika's features wines from different categories or prime wine producing regions, for education and enjoyment. In 2005, we celebrated Cabernet/Merlot/blend wines from various countries and paired with meal components to match these robust, full flavored wines. Next, Erika's featured champagnes and sweet wines, such as late harvest ice wines. In March 2006, we explored the principles of food & wine pairing.

***Our beer and wine events include the featured choice plus food prepared by Erika's catering kitchen for one low price. Most events fill to capacity, so reservations are encouraged. Reservations can be made at the store, over the phone at (616)942-1450, or via email. Only reservations prepaid or made with a credit card will be honored on the day of the event.

Chocolate Tastings
Imagine a day filled with chocolate! Several times throughout the year, Erika's invites you to come to the store and experience a sampling of the chocolates we carry. We currently have over 90 linear feet of different chocolate from all of the world and we are always adding more. Tastings usually occur on a Saturday and are absolutely FREE! In addition, you'll be able to take advantage of special deals only during the tasting.

Open Houses
Open houses are a time when we want to feature something special or just have a party!. When we start a new menu (such as our picnic or tailgating menus), we like to show it off a little.

Private Tasting Events
If you have ever wanted to do a private wine tasting, Erika's is the place to call. We carry wines from all over the world and specialize in Old World wines. We can customize any tasting to your personal preferences. Whether you want just a basic tasting or want something more adventurous like Bordeaux's from France we will provide a wine expert, the wine, and all of the supplies.
